Ideas for Home Learning

• Look at a striking urban landmark building such as Shard in London, or Flat Iron in New York. Make a collection of images you like in a scrapbook. Design your own building and make a 3D model.
• Search for photographs of your favourite buildings and places. Describe the route, using a map or Google Earth to another person so they could make the same journey.
• Compare the old and new. Research old and new photographs on Google images or draw an old building and new building in your town or street. Annotate the pictures to show features that have changed in the design of houses and buildings.
• Design your own information booklet about Birmingham, include pictures and facts.
