Welcome to our Governors’ section. 

 

Role of the Board of Governors
The Governing Body of a school is responsible for ensuring that it is run to promote pupil achievement.

Its duties include:

  • setting strategic direction, policies and objectives
  • the school budget
  • reviewing progress against the school's budget and objectives
  • appointing, challenging and supporting the Head Teacher


The Governing Body is made up of:

  • trust Governors
  • staff representatives
  • community Governors (appointed by Governing body)
  • parent Governors (elected by parents)

The Governors can be contacted at any time via a sealed envelope in the school office, which will be handed to the Chair of Governors.
